On Wednesday, the 29th of September 2021, Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital reached a milestone of vaccinating over 5000 community members against Covid-19. A local resident, Mrs Mia Krouse, was the 5 000th person to receive the vaccine at our hospital.
Harrismith and QwaQwa communities, since the beginning of the vaccination campaign back in July 2021, have been visiting the hospital to be vaccinated to ensure that they protect themselves and their loved ones from the virus. “I decided to get vaccinated, because of my two daughters. I work in the transport department, which is a high-risk area for the Covid-19 virus, so to protect myself and my two children I had to get vaccinated,” advised our 5 000th client Mrs Mia Krouse.
The vaccination team always goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone attending the vaccination site, experiences the best quality care. “From the start of the vaccination process, everyone is friendly and helpful, and this was really a great experience. I am so glad that the Busamed Facility exists in Harrismith,” commented Mrs Krouse.
Our vaccination team, led by Sr Gugu Lembethe, continuously encourages community members to get vaccinated and also explains the importance of vaccinating. Sr Gugu Lembethe, together with Sr Nomonde Mkwanazi (one of the vaccination team members), had the great opportunity to visit some of the local companies, upon request, to educate workers regarding the importance of being vaccinated.
As a hospital we are very proud to contribute towards the health of the community by offering Covid-19 vaccination. Our vaccination center is open from Monday – Friday 08:00am – 15:00pm.
