Dr Skosana completed her MBChB Degree in 2005 and started working as an intern at Rustenburg Provincial Hospital in 2006. She then worked at Brits Hospital and completed her community service at the end of 2007.

She worked at George Stergman hospital as a senior medical officer and moved on to Piet Retief hospital as a principal medical officer for an NGO supporting the government HIV programs. As HIV clinician, she performed circumcisions and took part in campaigns to educate the community.

From January 2008 till end of September 2008 she worked at Sterkfontein Psychiatric Hospital under Wits University and Westvaal Anglo Gold mine as an occupational health clinician.

During her time as an HIV clinician, she did sessional work at the emergency departments at Bethal, Piet Retief and Delmas hospitals. She worked as a Locum Doctor for an ER consulting agency at Mediclinic Highveld in 2010.

Her registraship in the Department of Neurosurgery started March 2014 to May 2018 at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. She went on to work for various mines as Occupational Medical Practitioner until the beginning of 2020.

She worked at Livingstone Hospital in Port Elizabeth in the department of Neurosurgery until the end of September 2020 and obtained her degree in Neurosurgery from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa in the same year. Completing her MMed with the University of Pretoria and registering with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in May 2021.

Consulting from her own practice at Mediclinic Nelspruit as an independent Neurosurgeon.

She enjoys reading, watching TV, designing cloths and interior decorating.
