Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital Orthopaedic & Oncology Centre opened its doors to the public on September 1, 2016. The Hospital comprises of a wide range of specialities, and with an advanced Orthopaedic & Oncology Centre. The Busamed Emergency Centre is a 24-hour emergency practice and opens 365 days a year. Specialities at our facility include Breast Surgery, Cardiology (Adult), Cardiothoracic Surgery (Adult & Paediatric), Colo-Rectal Surgery, Dermatology, ENT Surgery (including Paediatric), Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology & Reproductive Medicine, General Medicine / Physicians, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology (including Renal Dialysis), Maxillo-Facial & Oral Surgery, Oncology (Brachytherapy, Medical and Radiation), Ophthalmology (Adult & Paediatric), Orthopaedic Surgery (including robotic-assisted surgery), Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Psychiatry, Psychology (Clinical), Rheumatology, Sports Medicine and Urology. Auxiliary support services also include Audiology, Dietician, Pathology, Physiotherapy, Orthotist/Prosthetist, Renal Dialysis, Speech therapy and a retail pharmacy. Drs Mngomezulu and Indunah Diagnostic Radiology offers full radiology services which include PET, MRI, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, General and Specialised Radiology as well as full Mammography services.
Our Modderfontein Facility
Along with the Modderfontein Oncology Centre, and the Modderfontein Orthopaedic Institute, which are fundamental specialities within the hospital, Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital also has a specialised Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
This 10-bedded state-of-the-art unit compliments the fast-growing multi-specialty facility. ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) treatment for paediatric patients and the management of lung and heart diseases are managed here as well. The paediatric intensive care unit is supported by a full complement of services including paediatricians, paediatric nephrologist, paediatric dieticians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.
Stay over facilities for the lodger parent, including meals, are also available.
