Pelo Foundation is closing the year with several activities as part of its fundraising and awareness mission.
On 02 December, the Foundation participated in the Christmas Carol Variety Show, which was hosted by Trinity School in Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg. The day was filled with activities such as a crafter’s market for shopping and fantastic food stalls for festive feasting!
Other activities on the day included:
Pelo Foundation team was part of the crafters and sold jewellery while engaging with attendees to create awareness about Congenital Heart Diseases (CHD) and the children affected by the disease.
Some attendees were impressed by the Pelo Foundation’s work and donated money, while others took pledge forms to contribute later.
Later, the evening was filled with Christmas Carols from Trinity school choirs, the music department, and the guest artist provided music and led the Christmas Carols!
Ms Nobuhle, Pelo Foundation Fundraising Officer, said they engaged with potential sponsors during the exciting festive activities. “The feedback is positive, and we plan to do more activations like these in 2024.”
Pelo Foundation is also running an online campaign to fulfill children’s wishes at Christmas asking individuals and corporates to positively influence the future of children with CHD.
To change the life of a child, online users are encouraged to donate as little as R100 and bring change that will SAVE the life of a child in need. The Foundation is providing individuals with a customized portal on our donation platform, which is accessible only to you. The donation process is very user-friendly and takes only a few minutes.
The last leg of the Christmas campaign will see the Pelo Team raising funds by offering a gift-wrapping service at one mall in Gauteng. The proceeds of the funds raised will go towards Pelo Foundation.
Bring Love and Light this Season!
