Dr Lynette Augustine graduated in 2000 from the University of Kwazulu-Natal. Following her internship and working for 3 years in the United Kingdom, she went on to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Thereafter, she worked at RK Khan Hospital as a consultant, before starting at Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital in 2015.
Dr Augustine is passionate about women’s health, not just from an academic perspective but with empathy from her own experiences as a career woman, wife and mum.
She has a special interest in Obstetrics and manages women with both high and low risk pregnancies. She manages women with various high-risk pregnancies such as Pre-eclampsia, Placenta previa, Cholestasis and Gestational Diabetes (which was the focus of her Masters in Obstetrics and Gynaecology)
She also manages various general Gynaecological conditions including infertility, menopause etc. Dr Augustine enjoys relating to and treating patients of all ages, and assisting with their journey through the different stages of womanhood
Dr Augustine is the wife to a loving and supportive husband. They have two beautiful daughters. Her youngest was delivered at Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital. As such she has personal experience not only as a doctor but also as a patient and can fully relate to her patients’ experiences.
