As a mother to two little girls, she understands the challenges and joy that young children bring. Her passion is family-centred care and involving the family as part of the team in the care of children.
Samantha spent three years working in general paediatrics, neonates and paediatric surgery in London prior to starting her specialising as a general paediatrician. She spent an additional three years working exclusively with newborns to subspecialise as a neonatologist at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. She specialises in the management of high risk and ill newborns as well as their neurodevelopmental follow up and screening for complications.
