
Dr Ashay Makka is a highly skilled Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeon committed to providing exceptional, patient-centred care through evidence-based treatment and surgical excellence. He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Mauritius. He thereafter gained valuable clinical experience during five years of service in the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at Nelson Mandela Hospital in the Eastern Cape.
Driven by a passion for advancing patient care, Dr Makka completed his Master of Dentistry (MChD) in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at the University of the Western Cape. He subsequently achieved Fellowship of the College of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgeons of South Africa (FCMFOS (SA)), affirming his specialist expertise and commitment to the highest standards of clinical practice.
Dr Makka manages a broad spectrum of conditions affecting the face, jaws, mouth, and associated structures. His areas of expertise include facial reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, oral pathology, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, and implant dentistry. He combines advanced surgical techniques with a compassionate, individualised approach to care, ensuring each patient receives treatment tailored to their unique needs.
