Dr Jay Moodley completed his medical training at the University of Witwatersrand. He completed his internship and community service in KZN and moved to the UK working as a RMO in Cambridge, Scarborough and various other cities in the UK. He completed his specialist physician training and nephrology sub specialist training after returning to SA at UKZN. He worked as a physician and nephrologist at UKZN medical school and Inkosi Albert Luthuli hospital. He has been in private practice since 2013 and is an experienced practitioner.
Dr Jay Moodley is a specialist physician treating all medical conditions requiring acute and chronic care.
He is also a sub specialist nephrologist providing a comprehensive kidney programme for all adult patients needing kidney treatment. His services include the treatment of acute kidney damage needing dialysis to chronic kidney damage that requires careful monitoring and treatment. His keen interest is in preventative nephrology in which he and his team assist in delaying or preventing dialysis if possible. He is part of the KZN kidney transplant panel and assists with transplantation in selected cases
