Dr Kessie Naidoo completed his undergraduate studies in 2000 at the University of Witwatersrand. After completing his internship and community service, he spent 2 years abroad in the United Kingdom, gaining work experience in General Surgery and Urology. He qualified as a specialist general surgeon from UKZN in 2008, following which he spent 4yrs as a consultant general surgeon in the public sector. In 2013, he commenced full time private practice.
In 2016 and 2017 he underwent training at the IRCAD Institute in Strasbourg, France and obtained certificates in Laparoscopic Colorectal surgery and Laparoscopic and endoluminal bariatric and metabolic surgery respectively.
In 2018 he completed training in Bariatric endoscopic management at the Endoclub Academy in Hamburg.
Dr Naidoo is currently in full time private practice at Netcare Umhlanga Hospital and Busamed Gateway Private Hospital.
His special interests include Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal and hernia surgery, as well as Endocrine and metabolic surgery, with a special focus on thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
