Dr. Mike Nicholls is a specialist urologist with a comprehensive scope of practice covering all aspects of urology, with particular expertise in prostate health, prostate cancer, and female pelvic floor disorders, including prolapse.
Mike graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand, and holds a Diploma in Anaesthetics. In 2009, he was admitted as a Fellow of the College of Urologists of South Africa.
Since entering private practice in 2010, Mike has become one of the region’s most experienced robotic surgeons, having performed over 100 robotic-assisted prostatectomies for prostate cancer. He has been instrumental in developing and leading the Da Vinci robotic surgery program at Busamed Gateway Private Hospital.
Mike consults from his two practices at Busamed Gateway Private Hospital and Life Entabeni Hospital, where he continues to provide advanced, patient-centred urological care.
