Dr Tertius Potgieter is a specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a keen interest in reconstructive breast surgery, burns surgery, skin cancer management, and aesthetic surgery.
He completed his medical degree at the University of the Free State in 2013 and went on to serve in hospitals across the Eastern and Northern Cape. Dr Potgieter obtained his Fellowship in Plastic Surgery from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and an MMed in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in 2023.
In 2024, he was awarded a prestigious international fellowship in cosmetic surgery by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), where he trained under a globally recognised leader in aesthetic surgery in Argentina.
He works in close collaboration in his rooms with a prestigious aesthetic practitioner to deliver comprehensive surgical and non-surgical options tailored to each patient’s needs. Dr Potgieter is deeply committed to compassionate, patient-centred care, with a strong focus on achieving excellent outcomes through evidence-based practice. He has a passion for teaching, mentorship, and contributing to the growth of surgical services in his community.
