Dr Erna Pretorius is a specialist neurologist practicing at Busamed Bram Fischer Private Hospital. She earned her MBChB degree in 2006 from the University of the Free State, and later obtained her Fellowship in Neurology (FC Neurol SA) in 2013 through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. Dr Pretorius is known for her work in advancing stroke care in the region, rare diseases and neuro-immunology. She played a key role in developing a specialised stroke unit in Bloemfontein, the first of its kind in the area, which follows modern protocols for diagnosing and managing stroke patients.
