Dr. Zama Ramagaga is a Cardiologist and Specialist physician who offers comprehensive care in most aspects of adult cardiology, with broad interests ranging from coronary angiography and intervention, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias and pacemaker implantation, to adult congenital heart disease, heart disease in athletes and cardio-oncology.
Originally from KZN north coast, Zama matriculated from Deutsche Schule Hermannsburg, and completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Stellenbosch with her Bachelors in Medicine & Surgery (MBChB) in 2012.
After an internship in Ngwelezana hospital KZN and community service in Bethal Mpumalanga, she moved to Johannesburg to further her career. This has all inspired her passion for people, cultures and service to patients.
She has a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care, DipPEC(SA), a Masters Degree in Internal Medicine from University of Pretoria, Fellowship from the Colleges of Physician (SA) 2022, and obtained a Sub-speciality Certificate in Cardiology in 2024.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling with her husband and son, fine dining, exercising and reading inspirational books.
