I am a Specialist General and Laparoscopic Surgeon with a particular focus on the diagnosis and management of both benign and malignant breast diseases. I practice full-time as a specialist surgeon at Busamed Gateway Private Hospital and serve as the Director of The Durban Breast Clinic and The Surgical Screening Clinic, which are specialised out-of-hospital surgical diagnostic facilities. Notably, The Durban Breast Clinic is the first dedicated private clinical breast unit established in Durban.
In addition to my clinical practice, I spearheaded the creation of The Surgical Oncology Centre, which is based at the Busamed Gateway Private Hospital. I also coordinate and lead the Interdisciplinary Surgical Oncology meetings (CPD accredited) held in the northern suburbs. These meetings bring together a team of experts, including sub-specialist surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and allied health-care professionals, to foster collaborative decision-making and deliver state-of-the-art, patient-centred oncological care.
