Dr Sayed qualified in 1999 (MBBCH Wits) and specialised in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 2007 (FCOG(SA) and MMed O&G (Wits).
He has been a private practice specialist for 16 years, while stopping Obstetrics from 2016 to focus solely on gynaecology.
His passion is laparoscopic surgery. He obtained a Bachelor in Endoscopy in 2015 (ESGE, Budapest) and a Certificate in Minimally Invasive Gynae Surgery (with distinction) in 2016 (ESGE, Barcelona).
Special interests are:
• Laparoscopic surgery for fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain and hysterectomy.
• Prevention and treatment of gynae cancer.
• Vaginal hysterectomy and Vaginal surgery for bladder or bowel prolapse (without mesh).
• Menopause and menstrual abnormalities, prevention and treatment of anaemia from menorrhagia.
