Dr. R.S. Shazi is a dedicated paediatrician and paediatric nephrologist based in Bloemfontein, South Africa. As the first paediatric nephrologist in the region, she serves the Free State, Northern Cape, and Lesotho, providing specialized care for children from birth to 13 years. Her practice focuses on both acute and chronic conditions, with a particular emphasis on kidney disease.
She is also a Senior Lecturer at the UFS and actively involved in research on paediatric kidney disease.
Passionate about advocating for children's health, Dr. Shazi is committed to raising awareness about kidney disease in children and addressing the critical shortage of organ donors in South Africa. Her practice offers a range of services, including neonatal care, general paediatric services, routine kidney disease screening, kidney biopsies, dialysis, and kidney transplants.
