Dr Scott Tink is a specialist Orthopaedic surgeon, who’s practice focuses on Arthroplasty (Joint replacements), General orthopaedics, Sports injuries with soft-tissue reconstruction of the knee (Arthroscopy) and Musculoskeletal tumour & sepsis.
After completing his medical undergraduate degree (MBChB) from the University of Pretoria, Dr Tink spent several years practicing aviation and emergency medicine, during which time he completed his DipPEC(SA). He then completed his specialist training as a fellow of the College of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FC Orth) and obtained his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic surgery) from the University of the Witwatersrand, working in such hospitals as Charlotte Maxeke and Chris Hani Baragwanath academic hospitals.
In 2023 Dr Tink completed further dedicated training in arthroplasty and, musculoskeletal tumour & sepsis management. Dr Tink is an affiliate member of the South African Orthopaedic Association (SAOA) and the South African Arthroplasty Society (SAAS). He regularly attends Orthopaedic congresses, workshops, and ongoing training, remaining up to date in the rapidly developing world of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr Tink’s Orthopaedic practice focuses on optimizing patient function and comfort following their orthopaedic injury or condition and restoring quality of life.
