Dr Hentas van Zyl is a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon with SAOA accredited fellowship training in hand and upper limb surgery.
He graduated through Stellenbosch university in 2009 and completed his internship and community service in Pietermaritzburg and Kimberley respectively.
He completed his Orthopaedic training at Stellenbosch University in 2021 and was awarded the JM Edelstein medal by College of Orthopaedic Surgeons of South Africa. He is trained in general orthopaedic trauma and elective conditions.
His fellowship training included both elective, hand and upper limb conditions, and complex upper limb trauma. He was subsequently appointed as Senior lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch and Specialist in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tygerberg hospital.
In his spare time, he enjoys family time, general sports and trail running.
