Prof. André Loubser is a seasoned Trauma Surgeon and Head of the Department of Trauma at the University of the Free State. With over three decades of experience in surgical care, he holds an MMed in Surgery (1994) and an MBChB (1985) from UFS.
Prof. Loubser is deeply committed to clinical excellence and medical education. He plays a pivotal role in mentoring future doctors, often working closely with medical students during their trauma rotations at Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein. His leadership and passion for teaching have earned him recognition for shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.
He practices at Busamed Bram Fischer Private Hospital, to contributes to trauma care and surgical innovation.
