Visiting Hours and Policies

General Wards (Medical & Surgical Units)

Visiting hours for general wards are as follows:

15:00 – 16:00 daily.

A maximum of two visitors per patient per visit permitted.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal ICU (NICU)
Visitation in ICU and NICU are scheduled at the following times:

11:00 – 12:00
15:00 – 16:00

A maximum of two visitors per patient per visit is allowed, and no children under the age of 12 permitted.

Maternity and Paediatrics

Scheduled visiting hours for maternity and paediatric wards are as follows:

15:00 – 16:00 daily

Partners may visit outside regular hours upon arrangement with nursing staff.
Mental Health Wellness Unit
Visiting in the mental health unit is allowed during the following times:

Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00 – 17:00

Maternity Unit

The Busamed Harrismith Maternity Unit provides expectant mothers and families with a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for childbirth and early parenthood. Supported by specialist obstetricians, qualified midwives and nursing teams, our maternity care prioritises both clinical excellence and the emotional dimension of welcoming new life.

Paediatric Unit

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
