My name is Mike Cameron. In October this year I will be 88. I live in Glenashley and do Masters Swimming . The club I swim for is Synergy and we swim in the National Championships every year in March, in a different centre in South Africa.

In March 2024, they were held in Johannesburg where I swam 5 individual events and 2 relays, with the following results:

50m backstroke 🥇 – 1st place
50m breaststroke 🥇 – 1st place
50 freestyle 🥈 -2nd place
200m backstroke 🥇-1st place
100m backstroke 🥇-1st place
Freestyle medley 🥉- 3rd place
Mixed medley 🥉- 3rd place

These results were particularly satisfying as I have had a TAVI procedure only a year previously.
