Good day,

Our Dad had a heart attack on the 26th of January 2024 and was transferred to your Hospital (Busamed Hillcrest) on Saturday, 27 January 2024.

Upon arrival, the ladies at reception welcomed me with warmth. Ms. Isabel Kidwell came down and explained that our Dad had been taken to theatre and that she had to make the call to admit him due to high enzymes despite him being on the Ingwe Medical Aid Plan of Momentum Health. I can confidently say she made the right call and was instrumental in saving our Dad's life as the finance issues have since been resolved and our Dad still lives to see another day.

We have to give Ms. Mbali Memela her flowers for understanding our plight having flown in for this emergency and for being such a great and supportive sister when we needed it most. Words really fail to explain the impact her good attitude, patience, love and warmth had on us and what that did for Dad's recovery. Her team at High Care were also phenomenal, in particular the ladies that looked after Dad - Ms. Buki Zakwe, Ms. Makhosi Mkhize and Ms. Ngidi (Apologies if I'm leaving someone out).

I do not recall all the names but in the general ward Ms. Mpume Geveza stood out. Another gem is Ms. Gugu Mhlongo, from a totally different unit to where Dad was. Such love, warmth and the willingness to go above and beyond for someone going through what we were going through. We will never forget the service we received and now know better than to read reviews of people who were probably going through a hard time physically and emotionally and not getting what they wanted.

Our perception on Busamed Hillcrest totally changed all because of these ladies and we request that you kindly share this review with them so that they know that they are seen and appreciated and should never stop showing the type of compassion they showed and the willingness to help cos it touches lives and it is much appreciated. It is evident that for those ladies, this is not just a job, but clearly a calling.
