About 2 weeks ago, I had an abdominal hysterectomy at Hillcrest Private Hospital. One of my biggest concerns about going into hospital was not the surgery, but being at the mercy of someone else with regards my choice of cruelty-free eating (being vegan). I contacted Ian (I think he would be called the Catering Manager) the week before, but was still considering packing all my own meals for the duration! Well, after my surgery, Ian visited me at my hospital bed each day, ensuring that I was happy with my meals & discussing the next one. He made sure he had bought soya milk & yoghurt & the Frys vegan foods we'd discussed, as well as custom-making soups & smoothies before I could have solid foods.

My choices & needs were more than met & I could not have been more grateful & I could focus on my Healing. He is a credit to Hillcrest Hospital !! Further to this, the rest of my care there was outstanding... My Surgeon / Gynae was skilled & professional, & I want to highly recommend Dr Lynette Augustine to all the ladies in the Highway area!
