Dr Khambule was born and bred at Mamafubedu Petrus Steyn in the Eastern Free State. He attended his Primary Education at Mamafubedu Primary School, after which matriculated at Ikaheng Zakheni Secondary School.
In 2002 he commenced with his medicine studies at Wits University, completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009. He then completed his internship at Dihlabeng Reginal Hospital at Bohlokong Bethlehem from April 2009 to March 2011, followed by his community service at Boitumelo Regional Hospital at Maokeng Kroonstad.
2012 – 2016 he worked as medical officer at Manapo Regional Hospital in QwaQwa, before moving to Mangaung Bloemfontein to further his studies. He worked at Universitas Academic Hospital as a Registrar in General Surgery from 2016, whist completing his Masters Degree in General Surgery at the University of the Free State. Upon his completion of studies, he qualified as a Specialist in General Surgery.
When he is not operating on patients, Dr Khambule enjoys watching soccer, his favourite soccer team being, the onetime CAF Champions League winners, multiple times back-to-back PSL title winners, the one and only Mamelodi Sundowns. He also enjoys quad biking with his boys on weekends.
Dr Khambule is Practicing at Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital as a sessional General Surgeon.
